Iowa GOP Announces Six Pages
To Attend National Convention
DES MOINES, Iowa– The Republican Party of Iowa today announced the six young Iowans who will attend the Republican National Convention in Tampa as pages:
- Collin Brecher, Black Hawk County
- Thomas Day, Scott County
- Bradley Hobart, Pottawattamie, County
- Eric Koch, Pottawattamie County
- Spencer Oh, Story County
- Taylor Ryan, Dubuque County
Collin Brecher, 18, who recently graduated from Union High School in La Porte City said, “I am so excited to have an opportunity like this. I am excited to meet with many of the leaders of the Republican party and learn as much as I can from them.â€
Bradley Hobart, an 18 year-old homeschooler from Council Bluffs hopes to enter a career in politics. “Going to the National Convention as a page will be a great experience as I get ready for a career in politics,†said Mr. Hobart.
“I am overwhelmingly excited to attend the RNC because I feel politics is a passion and I way for me to mold and develop my political mind,†said Thomas Day, 18, who recently graduated from Assumption High School in Davenport.
Spencer Oh, a 17 year-old rising senior at Ames High School was inspired by the economic downturn to get involved politically. “I really wanted to be a Page because the recent downturn in the economy has shown me that we need to elect a true leader, a Republican, back in to the White House and I greatly desire to help this happen,†said Mr. Oh.
Taylor Ryan, 16, a rising junior at Dubuque Senior High School is looking forward to the educational experience being a page provides. “I am honored to be given the opportunity to see, first hand, the process of nominating our next President of the United States. It will be a great learning experience and I am thrilled to be a part of it,” said Ms. Ryan.
Eric Koch, an 17 year-old homeschooler is excited to help defeat President Obama this fall.  “I am honored to be selected to work at the RNC as a page so that I can help our party as it chooses a nominee to defeat Barack Obama, which is the first step to fixing our nation’s problems,” said Mr. Koch.
“Congratulations to all the pages. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take part in a historic election. Collin, Bradley, Thomas, Spencer, Taylor and Eric are the future of our Party and we are excited to be sending such outstanding young individuals to represent Iowa in Tampa,†said Republican Party of Iowa Chairman A.J. Spiker.
