RNC and State Republican Parties Announce
Partnership in Support of Wisconsin
Governor Scott Walker
DES MOINES, Iowa– In our continued effort to support Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker in his critical June 5th election, the Republican National Committee is partnering with multiple state parties to mobilize volunteers and grassroots activists throughout the Midwest and across the country.
Many states are already sending volunteers to Wisconsin, and now using the RNC’s innovative Social Victory Center, volunteers can make calls directly from home to voters in Wisconsin and across the country. To increase nationwide participation, RNC Chairman Reince Priebus and the Chairmen of the Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, and Minnesota Republican Parties are announcing two competitions–one among states and one among individual volunteers.
“It is absolutely critical that all Republicans join together in supporting Gov. Scott Walker. Wisconsin is better off because Scott Walker is governing as he campaigned–balancing the budget, putting Wisconsin families first and implementing pro-growth economic policies,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “I hope a little friendly competition will encourage Republicans outside of Wisconsin to give their time to this important effort.”
“The Illinois GOP has proudly ‘adopted’ Wisconsin to offer our support to Gov. Walker,” said Illinois Chairman Pat Brady. “Illinois Republicans will be working hard from now till June 5 to help Gov. Walker-and to prove we can best every other state in volunteering.”
“In Indiana, we understand that victory in Wisconsin is a victory for taxpayers and freedom of choice over selfish special interest groups,” said Indiana Chairman Eric Holcomb.
“Every Hawkeye Republican should take a few minutes to make calls and make a difference,” said Iowa Chairman A.J. Spiker. “It doesn’t take much time to make a big impact.”
“A vote for Gov. Walker is a vote for jobs, fiscal responsibility, and efficient government,” said Michigan Chairman Bobby Schostak. “Now we need to make sure every voter understands that.”
“Minnesota Republicans stand proudly with our neighbors to the east,” said Minnesota Chairman Pat Shortridge. “June 5th is a chance for us to send a clear message that will reverberate from Wisconsin to Washington, DC.”
The top 10 nationwide callers will receive a Social Victory Center Captain fleece from the RNC and optional promotion across the RNC’s social media platforms. The caller with the greatest number of dials will receive a personal phone call of congratulations and thanks from Chairman Priebus.
The three states with the greatest number of volunteers using the SVC phone from home application will be prominently featured on the Social Victory Center and highlighted across the RNC’s social networking platforms.
